When Shanelle Sturdivant posted on Facebook about her decision to attend a maternity tour at CHA HPMC, she was surprised to see the likes and positive comments within no time. “All my friends on Facebook started messaging me and told me that it’s one of the best hospitals for labor and delivery. It was good to see positive feedback about the hospital, even before going on the maternity tour,” says the first-time mom.
It was not just her Facebook friends— even Sturdivant’s sister recommended CHA HPMC for her delivery. “My sister delivered both her babies at this hospital and she was all praises about the physicians, facility, and nursing team.”
Maternity tours help to-be parents understand the entire process of delivering—from pre-natal care and labor and delivery to recovery—at CHA HPMC. After touring our labor and delivery facilities, Sturdivant received all the information she needed for registration and even watched a 25-minute educational video on breastfeeding and its benefits. “The maternity tour was really helpful and gave me all the information—everything I need as a first-time mom.”
Based on all the feedback she received from her sister and Facebook friends, Sturdivant had set high expectations from the tour. “The maternity tour team delivered much more than I had expected and proved all the feedback correct,” she says.
Sturdivant is now confident that CHA HPMC is the best hospital to deliver her baby boy and she will definitely come back in November to deliver little Kuechly (baby boy’s name). “This is ‘THE’ hospital to welcome my Kuechly.”
