In accordance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Price Transparency Rule, we provide clear, accessible information regarding the cost of items and services we offer. 

Standard Charges: Machine-Readable File

HPMC publishes a comprehensive machine-readable file (MRF) that includes all standard charges for hospital items and services.

Shoppable Services & Cost Estimator

To support patients in understanding expected costs, HPMC provides a consumer-friendly tool that includes standard charges for at least 300 common (“shoppable”) services or a price estimator tool that allows patients to request an individualized estimate.

Using this tool, patients may:

  • Review standard charges for common procedures
  • Compare gross, cash, and payer-negotiated rates
  • Request or generate a personalized cost estimate based on insurance coverage

Please note that actual charges may vary depending on:

  • Your insurance benefits
  • Copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles
  • Additional services ordered by your provider
  • Changes to your treatment plan based on clinical needs

Separate Hospital Bills and Physician Bills

The hospital and each physician you encounter as a patient will bill separately.

Hospital bills cover your services at CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. We will bill your insurance carrier directly. We also offer multiple payment options for the amount that is your personal responsibility. Choose the method best suited to your circumstance and contact us to discuss other financing options.

Each physician that provides professional services during your stay will send you a separate bill.

This applies to specialists who may have visited you in the hospital or provided services in the Emergency Room as well as anesthesiologists, pathologists and radiologists.

The charges only represent hospital charges and do not include physician charges. Final price and billing will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to the entire course of treatment and insurance contract coverage.
