Although, many of the hospitals services are performed by its professional staff...doctors, nurses, technicians, there are many activities which do not require specialized background, yet contribute to the "total care" of the patient. All roles affect patients and their families in direct and vital ways, no matter how remote from patient care these roles may appear.
