No-Smoking Policy

At Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, smoking is prohibited throughout the entire facility. However smoking is allowed in designated smoking areas outside the building.

Oxygen Use

In areas where compressed oxygen is being used, special regulations are in effect. Electrically operated devices and aerosol products are not permitted in these areas.

Medications

During a hospital stay, all medications administered to patients must be prescribed by the attendign physician, dispensed by the hospital Pharmacy and administered by the nurse. Patients should leave their medications at home.

Valuables or Lost Items

To safeguard patients' property, we urge patients to leave all valuables, including jewelry, wallets, cash and credit cards, at home. We will do our best to protect personal property but we are not responsible in the event an item is lost or stolen. Patients should keep their personal property such as glasses and dentures in the drawer of their bedside table. If patients lose an item, they should notify their attending nurse immediately.
