Patient Relations Phone: (323) 644-4402 When a patient receives a discharge order from their attending physician, they may contact their family and/or friends to start the discharge process. In preparation for discharge, hospital representatives may visit the patient to help coordinate their care after leaving the hospital. These may include case managers and social workers from Support Services that can help the patient and their loved ones better cope with illness. Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center's case managers and social workers may coordinate individual and family counseling during hospital stays. Spiritual Care by chaplains and religious services are also available. If family or friends are unable to to pick up the patient at the time of discharge, the patient may be moved to the hospital's discharge lounge located on the first floor. The discharge lounge is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After the patient has been discharged, he/she will receive a survey in the mail asking about the hospital stay. Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center appreciates patients' participation as each patient's opinions will help improve medical care and services for future patients. The hospital's discharge time is 11:00 a.m. but discharge can be delayed depending on physicians' availability.
