We are very pleased to announce the June Shining
Star -- Susana Borje.
July 6, 2009
Susana frequently receives
compliments from patients and other employees.
She has been with HPMC as a nursing assistant
since 2002.
Sherry Childress, Director, wrote the
following words of recognition: . . . “she is efficient,
accurate in her work and very organized, but also
caring and talented at keeping the patients informed
of what she is doing. Susana has a very warm and
friendly smile. She keeps us informed and lets me
know when things are coming due, if supplies are
low, and when I need to follow-up on things. She just
makes it easier for me to do my work.” Sherry adds,
“I later learned that she does the exact same thing
for me that she does for her patients and families.
I knew then why the patients and staff recognized
Susana and why she receives so many compliments
on her care. She cares about them and for them,
never hesitating to help. She made it easier for them
to be patients in our hospital; always smiling and
caring for their needs.”
Susana’s co-workers echo Sherry’s comments:
“She knows what she is doing.” “She is easy to work with.” “You do not have to tell her what to do, she knows.” “She takes the initiative to do things for others.” “She is always flexible and receives feedback well.” “She is very responsible.”
“Patients like her and she gets lots of positive comments.” “She helps me to do a better job.”
Congratulations and keep on shining! (if you would like to nominate someone for Shining Star recognition,
please fill out a Shining Star nomination form—they can be found throughout the hospital).
