Los Angeles (November 12, 2008) - HPMC is supporting the community by hosting a food drive now through November 21. All donations will be given to Union Rescue Mission.
Union Rescue Mission (URM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the poor and homeless. Established in 1891, URM is one of the largest rescue missions of its kind in the United States and the oldest in Los Angeles. Their mission is to embrace the urban poor with the compassion of Christ, giving hope and healing for a changed life, helping them to find their way home. Please bring canned food to one of these drop off locations before November 21 at 8 a.m.

Suggested food items: bulk fresh produce, non-perishables, nutrition bars, cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, macaroni & cheese, rice, beans, cooking oil, flour, canned meat, canned soup, canned vegetables, canned fruit, peanut butter & jelly, instant oat meal, instant potatoes, salt & pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, evaporated milk, holiday food.
