Critical Care and Progressive Care Nursing Comprehensive Review (CCRN/PCCN) with Maurene Harvey, RN, MPH, FCCM October 15, 16, 28 & 29. 8:00AM - 4:30PM Doctor's Tower, Auditorium, Level A This 26 contact-hour course, four-day class is designed for the experienced
critical care or progressive care nurse seeking a comprehensive review of the
core knowledge base for bedside practice. It is specifically helpful for those
preparing for the AACN’s CCRN Certification Examination. Since the content of

outlines. This content is essential for those providing quality care to the critically
ill. Clinical application is emphasized and examples are used to demonstrate
important principles. The systems addressed include cardiovascular, pulmonary,
neurological, renal, endocrine, hematological, immune, and gastrointestinal. Program Objectives: - Offer the experienced bedside acute care nurse a review of important knowledge required to provide high quality care.
- Assist nurses preparing to take the CCRN or PCCN examinations.
Course Objectives: - Discuss the key concepts behind the diagnosis, management and treatment of problems which commonly occur in acutely ill patients.

- Study the material that is covered on the CCRN and PCCN examination.
