Pediatric Advanced Life Support - Renewal (1 Day)

Course Description:
This class is designed to re-certify healthcare professionals as PALS providers and to renew their skill in the areas of cardiac arrest, shock, resuscitation and airway management in infants and children. The lectures, skill stations and test adhere to the guidelines of the American Heart Association. Participants will gain hands-on experience in Code management.

Requirements:

• Participants must bring current PALS provider card and BLS provider card to the class.
• Arrhythmia recognition highly recommended
• PALS book/CD (2006 Version) MUST be obtained and reviewed prior to attending class. PALS books may be purchased online at http://aha.channing-bete.com or at http://www.eworldpoint.com. Books are also available for purchase from California School of Health Sciences at http://www.hprovider.com or on the day of the class (you MUST bring cash or check only).
• Participants are required to bring the PALS book to attend the class.
